KWALC was created in simple but urgent problem. Most footwear is still made with plastic-based materials that remain in the environment for far too long. Even many products described as sustainable continue to rely on hidden plastics or partial solutions. We saw a clear need for something better.

We believe footwear should not force a trade-off between comfort, design, and environmental responsibility. Sustainability should not mean expensive, unattractive, or uncomfortable products. It should feel natural, honest, and accessible in everyday life.

This belief shapes everything we do. We want to build footwear with better materials, a more responsible end of life, and a design approach that works for real people. KWALC began with biodegradable slippers, but the larger goal is to help move everyday footwear toward a more thoughtful and credible future.
